In ordinary times, we usually stick to the ordinary, usual ways of doing things.
The tried and true, what we know or believe works best.
Sometimes we see glimpses of the uncommon, shining for a moment in a sea of commonness.
In unusual times, when things are upside down and not following the common routine, then we see more of the remarkable.
We do things in uncommon ways.
We take risks not normally considered because we see the need is so great.
It can be humbling, yet satisfying.
It takes courage to step out of the common place, to put the needs of those around you above your own comfort zone.
But we who know the Lord have extraordinary courage to draw from.
We can do what must be done, even if it humbles us.
